45 Escape by [bending] Saw fine band of mountain sheep, gray in color, white on back of hips with black tail. All horned. Seemed strong. Moved with great deliberation led by largest. Crossed the river between [two] steps of cascades where channel was blocked and bridged with big boulders. On level were close together, but in ascending the steep mountain wall were far apart. Gradually, farther, single file zigzag fine appearance.
