Yosemite Lake Sunny side sprinkled gardens sheltered from blast of falls by [ ] & rocks Green velvet lawn like Eng [England], largest [gymnogramm] found here & [Broader] Next an open sun [sunny] space with but few gnarly oaks. Ceanothus [ ] & manzan [manzanita] & huge tufts of [pel] [pellaea] [mucro] [mucronata] Oaks largest of [ ] Avalanche path from [creek] 1st stream in spring [broad] white sheet 80 or 90 ft [feet] now small, full of birdlike whistling trills & warbles. [like [ ] ] 2 lakes etc Rushes across [sunny] in glancing cascades
