144 Meadow is [height] to mtn [mountain] streams they rest & sleep Looking at them they are seen to reflect all [their] waking thoughts & deeds like men All of E [east] bank mtn [mountain] 10000 [h] [high] is morained & grassed & timbered with fir (Dome Crk [Creek] of up [upper] Merced) Very much smooth unfissured granite in this basin
