49 Alt[itude] top 2nd 7300 slope 25[degrees] From top 1st cascades on N side to near foot upper much moraine matter as if terminal to small side glacier. Higher the wall on same side has been much shattered by earthquake & huge slopes tangled with manzan[ita] & [ ] reach to river. There has been [fire] lake opp[osite] above [ ] Moraine [ ] filled with splendid grove of fir & pine.
