Frost this morning on mead lvs of penstemon frozen.
Black woodpecker feeding young. Male & female working alike.
Yesterday saw Parnassia within a few inches of heavy
snowbanks
Reflections in lake wondrous fine every [morning here]
Snow patches on Colisseum pk down to shore
Pollen of Contorta sown over lake making distant line by gentle breeze.
July 26 Lovely calm hushed weather, showery P M the last 3 or 4 days, River high & overflowing in early morning
190 yrs old Contorta by river side cut for bridge 2 ft dia 75 l. ?
Aug 1. Light showers & fine clds most every P.M. for week A M s also cldy some of them. Grand effects on mtns. Gibbs more varied in color than Dana Glorious sunset last eve Crimson pale red gold lilac gray Mtns all blue. Sky fine blue at last as darkness approached
