Many birds nesting in rocks and many sea lions on the shore had young. 2 of the handsome little [Sketch: Shesaldon] fellows stolen from their mothers and [brought] aboard by party that landed on the island at 8 P.M. July 9. Reached St. Paul Island at 2 P.M. Tried to reach St. George, could not for fog. Most of the passengers went ashore in 3 boats piloted [Sketch: Isinosky]
