Transcription
Fine salmon stream enters on left arm of fiord. Timber mostly Hemlock and Thuya, northmost of latter here, few Sitka sp. 2 species of dwarf cornel, Canadensis and Suissea, latter with smaller lves and not whorled. Clintonia one flred. Red huckleberry and common tall one, tall ferns. Salmon caught in nets set as traps. Kingfisher, plover, crow. All timbered [Sketch: Yaas Bay of fiord looking S.E. (Sep. 2, 97). Boston cannery.]
