Dir Val below Roar R W 5 S. Alt Fox Camp June 11, 4675, cldy, rainy. Bird about 6 in l, vivid crimson head, shading off over body to reddish, a pale bluish line below wing edge, dull ashen under vent and tail, thick short bill. Bird dull ashen, breast streaked with black; sparrow. Below Manzanita orchard and separated from it by mor a fine smooth sandy park, Deer park. Then another mor and another Manzanita orchard, the lower orchard.
