Fine [shag] of bryanthus [ ] Saw 3 ptarmigan [ ] white wings Sod is [sloughing] off Trees storm [burst] from S.E. [Veratria] at 2500. Trees still higher 3000 July 12 2d day Loomis assisted in hauling sled to Spruce Mtn [mountain] Interested going only a little way & returning to camp. I gave him my [bur] sack & he slept warm [going]
