Land cultivated in narrow strips like patchwork. poplars with leaves & branches only at tops all seem on stilts giving curious meagre unnatural look. Mosel vineyards. vines very close -- seem healthy. Brussels a gay town Old man heavy eyebrows semi-benevolent
