89 [Sketch:] Small [Farms] on shoreline [however] in side hollows & on benches. The Romsdal a much grander valley. longer broader deeper & with much finer massive sculptures. There is much fine & striking variety in the broad floor. velvet meads [meadows] rosy groves. hazel dogwood, birch maple etc Huge taluses & moraines. immense [ ] falls in every style. The River a broad crystal swift gliding stream. road excellent goes to Cristianias [Kristiania] government road like the rail to Voss [Vossevangen]
