That purples tinge you see is from a shrub oak with leaves fast budding, blended with faint tinges of green scarce [ ] from young lvs [ ] higher [crum] of solid [ ] a grow dark spray beneath, but [ ] a [hint] of [ ] no flr promise. The cone all the ground [ ] & [ ] of mtn low & high from the grey slopes to the snow not in close crowded beds like [daisies] & [ ] but well [roomly] apart with bells free to swing & [ ], beneath rocks & bushes not all alone violets & gilias, azaleas sunlap & matra geranium & phlox. Yet such wondrous [ ] never seen half so many in any land. Utah the land of [ ] I said aye truly when shall you find such hosts of [sanilly] lilies, beneath roses prickly stemmed oak & azalea [sun] & [shadows ] miles & myriads [ ] for our days consideration
