In one place on top of ridge observed lava [ ] & [pebbles] [smoothly] water washer resting in lava [in] [site] [ ] of [lava] distinctly stratified. At least 200 ft [drop] 3 [miles] long 1 broad [trending] towards [ ] [Mts] E of Mt Raymond
7 with tuneful brooks through flower gardens filled with blooming exotics & fields of luxuriant alfalfa While every sound & [aspect] of the place
