Description
Written on verso: One of John Muir's inventions. Note with drawing: Uncle John Muir's desk in Madison, Wis. The clock opened desk at appointed hour, with book for study opened at lesson to be studied. When time was up the book closed and sunk into desk and book with next subject came and open at lesson.
