01316Martinez, Cal. August 23, 1888.Dear dear Papa, How thankful and happy we are this morning over the good news from Mount Tacoma of the glorious view, and your safe return to the wild gardens of the woods. Baby says "I want my dear Papa come home right away and stay with me"Your letter was marked Yelm Prairie, Aug. 18, but did not reach Martinez until last night so I fear you will have left Seattle before this reaches there. Josephus is waiting to take it for this morning's mail.
