00848San Francisco, 2 June 1879My dear Sir, In enclose the promised letter of introduction to Mr. [ Walkem?], the premier of British Columbia. I also send you herewith, a circular letter addressed to my old Canadian friends, (with whom I recently travelled from the East) who are Engineers employed to explore a new route for the Canadian Pacific RRs, & whom I observe by the New= =papers, have gone up the Country in the direction of the Peace River — They are all good fellows and I hope you may [ fall?] in with them. Should you ever visit Europe I hope you will give
