[2]new baby - could you have seen her then you would have been happy - for she looked so well and joyous - that one wanted to hug her. Her little boy was beautiful and wonderfully strong for such a wee tot. You have a treat in store for you, when you see him. My brother Dr. Hancock, his wife and daughter were in California during July and August, and spent the latter month with me. The doctor painted all the[3]the time and took home some fine sketches of California scenery. We often talked about you- and the happy times gone by- and wished we might live hem over again.Have you heard of the awful automobile accident that befel Mr. Gau[illegible] (Mr. Lukens' son-in-law)? About a year ago he fell on the car tracks, and lost one of his hands- that however did not deter him from runing
