Home July 11, 1914.Darling Helen, I'm glad you are so happy and well and making quick recovery to perfect health. But don't, I pray you, make dangerous haste back to the desert at this hottest time of the year, at the risk of your own & the babe's life. Dont think of venturing back before the end of [illegible]d August. If you must see Muir & Stan[illegible] let Buel bring them down to you. Never mind expense either in money or absence from your family - the first I can make good, & the other you should bear for the good of all. I think Wanda will write soon. Remember me to the Doctor & tell him not to let you go until cool September at earliestYour ever devoted father
