Mr. John Muir, Dear Sir:The honor of your presence is requested at a Lincoln Way Tree Dinner, to be given in the Pine Tree Room, Stratford Hotel, Chicago, Conservation Day, June 16th, 1914, at 5 P. M. Mrs. Philip N. Moore, Past President of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, will be Toast Mistress. Mrs. W. L. Christie, Board Member, and Mrs. Harriet Bishop Wauters, Managing Editor of the Gen. Fed. Magazine, will respond to toasts,. Mr. A. R. Partington, Vice-President of the Lincoln Highway [illegible], will rear and to the toast, "The Lincoln Highway". Mr. Wilhelm Miller, Head of the Land Garden section of the Dent, of Horticulture, University of Illinois, will give a thirty minute illustrated talk on "The Planting Plan of the Lincoln Highway", with special reference to the planting of the Main Road from Lincoln's old home in Springfield to the Lincoln Way.-Mrs. William M. Wauters, Chairman of New Jersey Federation Conservation Dept., will give an original poem, entitled,. "The Laurel Crowned Lincoln Way".If it is impossible for you to attend this dinner, we should appreciate a message from you to be read at the dinner.
