Kishogo Estates[Rjoso?]4th August 1912Dear Mr MuirYour letter dated June 25th just reached me, it was very kind to have remembered our journey from Mombasa to Nairobi; I enjoyed it immensely, I am sure you will not think the worse of me, if I bring back to your memory the little book about "The Dog" it would interest me so much, besides being a memento from a congenial and respected traveller.I trust your journey was interesting in every respect and you reached your home quite in good health. My own lot has not been very bright. I spent two months in the Nairobi hospital, just as I left you, and since, my health has not been what it should however I had a month shooting at [illegible] and now I am in a healthy climate, and my old dog with me of course.Trusting these lines will find you in good health.Yours respectfully sincerelyL.
