[2]"Atlantic Monthly."We had such a jolly Christmas & New Year's day. "Winnie Skylark" was with us & all my family & it was a joyful, happy time. The children took part in a little play. & Ellen arranged living pictures as reproductions of famous patinings in her new studio.Ellen is very busy & much absorbed in her painting & has completed a portrait[3]of my father which was on exhibition in Pasadena, with the work of several Calif. artists. My sister & I are here for a week's visit with our aunts & to see Dorothy at the Bishop's school. She has not seemed very well since Xmas. Perhaps she had too much dissipation at that time. If she doesn't get better soon I shall take her home.Winnie says to give you her love
