2fairly treated. The game picture is a good one with the bear & deer but the best of it is yourself in the old canvas hat, recalling our long rides together in Sierra comfort & exhileration. Those photos are much clearer than the first though I suppose they would have been still better had they been given shorter exposure as you say. Those San Gabriel views bring back my weeks scramble in the flowery chaparral 20 years ago Maggie is now with us & she showed me, the other day, a fine set of pictures of your home the grandchildren etc. But I'll write no more. You come right up here or I'll go right down. I'll only say thank you, I hope you found your wife & children well, & that I am ever cordially yours John Muir
