[6]I am intending to go to Church out of doors tomorrow, by taking a tramp with the Sierra Club.Gratefully and affectionatelyyour friend,Mary Frances KelloggSunday evening. How much better than a tramp with the Sierra Club would have been a visit with you! I can't tell you how sorry I am to have missed seeing you. The walk was far longer than I had anticipated, & instead of getting homr by four, as hoped, it was 8.30 nearly.I am very glad you are[7]near us again, and I am going to be presumptuous enough to ask you to come to dinner with me and my cousin on Sunday, at my own little bungalow. I will be in Los Angeles Sunday morning, and will go and bring you back on the car with me.If this were not the first week of school, I should expect to see you this week, but I know I shall not have time to come over for even a flying call. This letter was all directed to Martinez, ready to send you, when I learned you were here.
