Daggett, Cal. May 27, 1911.Dear Papa:-We are all well here, and our little family is happy today as Buel is home again and all is well with us. The little boy is in his orib talking and laughing and looking at things in the room. He is growing every day.Once wore there is sad news, though I feel sure you have heard of it ere now. The first thing I saw in the paper yesterday was the account of our dear friend Mr. Hookers death. It is too bad. It was such a shook to us, for I had received a cheery note from his only a few days before. Had I known in time I would have gone in to the funeral as you are away and I felt some of us should be there. But I did not know till too late.I hope you keep well. Write when you can to us.Lovingly alwaysHelen.05025
