Flower ST.TEL. 22607Northfield Hall1361 SOUTH FLOWER STREETLOS ANGELESTELEPHONE 21242March 8, 1911My Blessed John Muir,Ever since you went away we have been waiting for your telegram to say that you were coming home, and now you write and do not set the time for me to meet you, oh dear, oh dear! Your letter was not wet at all upon its arrival, and yet nothing that your ever wrote, could be "dry".We too have boon having nice rains and there are no roses, so yu you see how impossible it would be to properly "decorate you with the symbol of your Office" and yet I could still feed you upon rod apples and smile and "lark’ all day long even if it does rain. So come home. Mr Rooseveltd will soon be here and you must remember that you are invited to a Dinner. Oh how we all do envy you!Grail spent a few days with her friend Marion, but has now returned to her school, as usual, her gallant Knight was in dancing attendance.Hookers & CoMr Frederick Yates, the Artist, is in our City and comes often to see us, "Men come and men go" as usual, and the Hooker Automobile needs no guiding hand to the Railway station.Mrs Thompson is well and asks when to expect Mr Muir. So you must write again soon to mo, that I may be first to know and tell about it.My Good Uncle is sitting by too wet to go out into the garden or even to the Office, and says "give Sir John my Baptismal Regards" Mrs Hooker is well and if here would second it. We all did enjoy your refreshing greetings.Very sincerely your Devotee,Alice SpencerHooker Jones04973
