[letterhead]Our table maid is a Stanford girl who comes up in the afternoon two or three times a week and V & I go off tramping. Other times he goes fishing or just loafs. He said yesterday he was feeling so well he was "crazy as a bat!" This is the first real vacation since we were married. The halfyear sabbatical is granted, as I wrote you, (I forgot to tell you Jean's upper teeth are through without lancing!) and we are going to try to economize in the cabin until December when we sail for London. Where will you be then? And what of this great adventure? Chile sounds alluring--do send us a card as often as you can.I have to hurry off now, will write again soon. I want to hear from Helen about her babe. We talk of you and tell Jean about you and love you more and more. Good luck and may we soon be together again.Charlotte05141
