532 - 24th StOakland Dec 7, 1895Dear Mr Muir,On the mantel shelf of the room where I write are the pictures of your children whom I have come to almost reckon as my own, & to think that their smiles belong to myself personally. And along with this has grown my desire to see & talk with their father once more. Do let me know when you will be in the vicinity again. If possible do come here & see us: the latch string reaches out to the street. Or if you cannot do this let me know where I may see you & if possible Mahomet will go to the mountain. We are boarding at the Kelsey House.Very truly yoursF. B. Perkins
