Mr. Palmer furnishes me with the following details: Mr. Butters is a Harvard graduate, class 1900. Since that data instructor in Botany at the University of Minnesota. For seven or eight years has traveled through the Selkirks and Rocky Mts. most of the time with Mr. Holoway, collecting plants and studying the botany of those regions. He read a paper at the recent meeting of the A. A. A. S. in Boston.Mr. Holloway is a retired Banker who is now connected with the University of Minnesota where he is working along botanical lines. His special field embraces the fungi and rusts and he has published several illustrated monographs dealing with them which are regarded as authoritative.In accordance with the custom heretofore followed, on receipt of sufficient affirmative votes from the Board I will submit the candidates named to the members of the Club.Very truly yours.[illegible]Secretary.04743
