Daggett, Cal. March 9 - 09Dear Papa-Mr Van Dyke is going up town so I'll write you just a note to let you know Im no worse, my throat got very sore last night but Mrs F. doctored me up with peperment tea and [warm?] flannel, and I put on [illegible] stuff to blister my neck, so feel a little better today- am staying in bed as it is windy. Dont worry, for I promise I'll let you know if I should get any worse. Just as soon as the weather gets warm I'll be all right again.Dont starve yourself up there in that lonely house.Lovinging Helen04450
