Dear Muir,Cant you come down next Saturday. I told Mrs [Sather?] that you might be here - if she is coming in just to meet you - she is the widow of the Banker [I gather?] she has given a great deal of money to the University and is a very interesting personality aside from this matter of money - any how if you cant come write me a nice little letter - that I can show to her - theres nothing wrong in that - simply the polite thing - she is very much interested in you & you dont suffer at my hands - do this Johnnie for auld lang syne my dear.
