[1]California Hospital, Los AngelesApril 1st 1909Dear Papa-I am feeling fine this morning Dr Cole came in after his two days out of town & thought I had done well during his absence - could see a decided improvement in my tongue's appearance & told me I could have all I wanted to eat from now on. I asked him about the Honolulu trip & he was very enthusiastic about it - said it would be fine to build me up, but said I should not stay on the coast or in San Francisco more than a day, but that the trip itself would be a fine thing.
