320 WEST CALIFORNIA STREETPASADENA, CALIFORNIAJany 15. 1909Dear Muir- Your letter of yesterday just recd- I am afraid if you put off meeting James for 10 days, you will miss him- Besides it is very important that you have a talk with him at the earliest possible moment, while he is in the [humor?].I think it is very uncertain how long he will be here and yet here is where you should meet him through Mr Vroman, and arrange to look the letter over later either here or at some other point if more convenient for you both.It [would?] not take more than 3 days for you to come down, see him, make your arrangements and return to your work on the Hetch Hetchy.Yours[illegible]A H Selelrs.Jany 16- At Vromans storeVroman has just called up James on phone. He says he expects to be here [4] week [or?] not to [need?] 10 days, if he dont get a call to lecture.I am still of the opinion that you ought to see him, if only (as Vroman says) to "pat him on the back", when James will do most anything you want-04406
