-fashioned and have not [get?] your bird machine waiting to wing you here from your back stoop - You go to 3rd & Townsend, and the first train after 9 A.M. (there is one exactly at nine, but I gathered from your note that you would hardly be able to catch that) leaves at 10.40 and reaches Palo Alto at 11.43. There you alightand if V. L. K. is not there to meet you, as he hopes to be, take the street car to the campers - get off at the book store and from the book store to our house is a short, straight walk - we are 21 Salvatierra Street - a good [name? that. All this explicitness in case we miss you at the station - or in case you do make the 9 o'clock, or miss the 10.40!But we'll hope for fair weather & no hitches - and we are oh so glad you are coming. Affectionately Charlotte Kellogg
