PRIVATE OFFICEFRANK A. MILLERRiverside, Cal.February 24, 1909.Mr. John Muir,El Tovar,Grand Canyon. My dear Mr. Muir:I have just learned that it is your plan to meet Mr. Burrows at the Grand Canyon, and I do hope that you will find time to accompany him to Riverside.I regret so much that I could not wait and meet you when you visited us two years ago but I had my state-room engaged for a European trip and could not put it off, so I was defrauded of your visit. Wont you make it possible for me to meet you this time? The Mission Inn and its automobiles will be at your disposal, and as you know, the country now is very beautiful with its California grasses and wild flowers in profusion.Yours very sincerely,[illegible]04448
