The first should read "There are now (August 1909) 12 Parks & 149 Forest Reservations, besides 19 National Monuments. Some of the largest Reservations have been subdivided & many changes have been made in the boundaries of most of them. See Appendix on page - 3[1?]7-376 368-70 = 380-382 (377, 378[illegible] [illegible] Also change note on page 27 as to Superintendents, Supervisors Rangers etc as given in last report.Faithfully yoursJohn Muir[illegible][19?]
