Daggett, Cal. May 5thDear PapaThis is a fine morning on the desert - full of sunshine. It is ten degrees warmer than yesterday, and I am feeling very cheerful. All goes well here and everyone is busy haying.I got weighed yesterday - Im 133 lbs. and that is above my usual summer weight. Alice Manson sent me some more flowers from San Bernardino yesterday. Also a big box of oranges and grapefruit - "thats nice". My little geranium slips are trying to bloom since the shower and are doing well. There are a great many doves around the ranch the last few days - I like to hear them.I must go now and look after my horse, so good-bye for today.Ever yoursHelen04174
