[1]Daggett, Cal.March 7 - 08Dear Papa -I got your letter of the 5th with Wanda's offer for trade, yesterday afternoon.I have thought it all over and it seems to me that we should accept the offer, for as you say, it takes the burden of looking after the ranch off your shoulders, while I still have the old Strenzel home. I am satisfied with the wharf, & Valona and Valona ranch interests. But04088[2]if Wanda would rather give me any of her other property instead of the "few thousands" you spoke of, I would be just as well satisfied, for it seems too bad to run them farther into dept than they already are. If Wanda was willing to let me have either her City lots or Berkeley house, wouldnt that be better even if I had to pay them a thousand or two to even it up? However I merely suggest this, for I am04088
