Martinez, Apr 28, 1908Dear Miss HoffmanI heartily congratulate you on your happy marriage & so will Helen & Wanda as soon as they read your letter. Wanda is in the Roosevelt Hospital but is now much better & expects to be home in a week or two, Her baby boy is fat & rosy & of course a prodigy. Helen is much better but expects to stay on the Mohave desert near Daggett, California (her address) for year or two. She is very cheery merry & hopeful & greatly enjoys the desert weather & scenery. I'm better too after a severe illness Grippe, grief, worry etc which
