Daggett, Calif -Dec. 7 - 08Dear Papa -This is a grand bright winter morning on my desert, and Im feeling fine and sunshiney too - just cant help it. How are you, and what are you working on now? I had a letter from Mrs Stevenson a few days ago, and she says they are doing well in Adamana, that the travel had been unusually heavy, lots of tourists. She said that Jim was in Texas just now, but spoke as tho' he had been staying there [illegible]ing.Im inclosing Mr Wilson's bill, one that I understood Wanda had paid, but it seems she didnt. Can you please attend to it? And04332can I have some money too?All goes well here. Mr F.'s tunnel is in about forty feet now, and already they are getting more water.Write when you can. Where do you board, or do you eat sardines and bread only?Lovingly alwaysHelen04332
