San Francisco, Dec. 28. 1908Dear Mr. Muir:-Beg to acknowledge your esteemed favor of the 23d Inst, and wish to inform you that I have to-day mailed the 31 photographs you selected from my collection. The usual price is 25 per copy but a cheque for $6.00 will cover them entirely.I have taken particular pains to get the very best effect from the negatives in printing them and trust they will meet your approval.Enclosed I send you a specimen of "lace bark" taken from the "Lace Bark Tree" and also a specimen of taken from the "Tissue Cactus", both are from Jamaica B. W. I. and no doubt might interest you as a botanist but regret to state that I was unable to obtain the scientific names of them.Wishing you health and happiness for the New Year, I amSincerely yours,4016 - 18th Str.
