[letterhead]Daggett, Cal. July 22 -Dear Papa - I received your good letter from camp several days ago but as I thought I wouldnt have time to get an answer to you before you started home, Im sending it now to Martinez.Im well and feel most cheerful. My appetite is improving and I come in from riding with a Sierra Club appetite, and the heat is all right. I dont know how you will stand it after coming from the Highlands for it is at least 110° on my porch04247
