It is just the ideal place & Helen is already much better. She is charmed & delighted with the grand desert scenery & climate & with grand Van Dyke & family. Everlasting thanks dear friend for guiding is there in our time of sore trial. I'm going back in a few days with needed house supplies, & will write soon. With warm regards & best New Years wishes I amfaithfully yours John Muir
