Martinez. Nov. 5, [1907]
Dear Mr. Colby:
What's the H.H. news? If you have got a lot of our resolutions and descriptions of the Valley printed, send me a doz. [dozen] or two.
I suppose you have seen my H.H. in the Outlook. It is in last Saturday's number, Nov. 2. If you find it on the news stands, please send me a few copies. It might be well to ask some of the papers to review it and our Club resolutions.
The Examiner called me up on the phone and asked if I was opposed to the H.H. reservoir scheme. I told him. I was, and why. Then he wanted to know if I was going to Washington. Possibly the Ex [Examiner] means to take up the question; so may the Argonaut, and it would be well to send them our arguments. Save copies if they publish anything on the subject.
Yrs. [Yours] truly,
J.M.
