[letterhead]ADAMANA, ARIZ., July 12 1906Dear Charlie I'm very sorry to learn that Louise is so sadly weary & faint under her many burdens, but fondly hope Heaven's peace & rest in the woods will speedily restore her.Helen I hope will soon be strong enough to venture home.It is very kind of Prof Rolfe to take so much interest in my stone tree studies, I'll write to him telling my thanks & that his kind offer of books, from Harvard or Washington I'll not avail myself of at present as I have a lot of books coming from Scotland which with those in the University Library will probably be all I want for a year or two-
