May's Jan. 3. 1906.Darlings, I hope & pray you may have Heaven's best New Year- that Adamana frost & heat may work together only for good. The weather here is delightful [illegible] frost in the morning & calm clear days & nights. But I have not yet got much real business done. The deeds got her all right but the money has not yet been paid - will be probably in few days. Charlie's deed is made out but has not been sent you for signatures, which is fortunate as I had to change it somewhat, for Charlie is keen & smart & cunning & was trying to get more than bargained for. The deed will be sent you in a day or two. Have not yet been to Valona. The day I set for going there was rainy Will go soon & have written George to meet me. John Reid has bought Knerr's 2 acres on the flat & wants 2 or 3 more from us as I guessed but he wants none of the creek bank, [no?] waste land for him, only for you. He also is cunning. Maggie is better- was busy washing yesterday. David has bought
