May's June 3/06 - SundayDarlings, I'm here as usual for a day after a hard weeks work in the University Library in the paleontology alcove where I sit silent & alone from morn til eve wandering in the deeper silence of the enchanted old, old forests of the coal age The hours & days go on neither long or short glorious for imagination & mind, but tough for the old paleontological body nearing 70. There is no fatness in this work - only leanness, I'm getting thinner though fairly well fed. I get up at six am in the Sig woods from 9 to 5. with an hour or so for lunch at the Faculty Club where I meet the Profs not only of the University here but many from other universitys visiting here.
