Monday, Jan 15./06Darling girls. I am wearying for another letter This is 3d blank day - no letter. & the 3d day of rain. I went over to the dismal old home yesterday [Sun?] had looked after the garret [leaks?] One tree, a little eucalyptus near the calistema was blown down Saturday night, but [Sun?] cut off the top & set it up again, & also braced up other trees & palms that were badly bent over. I'm getting dreadfully lonesome & heart-hungry to see you. No matter what friends or husbands you may be blessed with or bothered with you will never have so devoted & devout lover as I am because I know you best. You are so purely good I should have loved you whether your father or not O dear these lonely days!! I must either get into consuming hard work or go up a canon - - - - - Maggie is as well as usual. I see her everyday The others as far as I know are as usual. Arthur is trying to sell more lots especially the 2 or 3 acres of
