Martinez, Dec 2, 1907Dear Mr Calkins.I am very glad to find you in another fine letter & letters for you seemed lost to me for weeks past. Nothing more natural however than making a new home may you be happy in it as you well deserve. I sent the Lukens H. H. photographs direct to the President. [illegible] Encouraging reports are coming [illegible] from various sources many of [illegible] caused by your own efforts [illegible] far reaching & many from our [illegible]b circular letter. One member in Sacramento wrote the President & Secretary [&?] got 27 of his friends to write!Here are samples, which please return & a few of the H.H. leaflets.Helen is getting a little better. At least I am trying to think so. We often recalled your pleasant visit & hoped you might come to live with us, & indeed still hope you may after your winter in Los Angeles. Stickeen I have not touched, & King & Kern Valleys are calling with H.H. If only Helen were well I might work.
