[letterhead]St. LOUIS, MO.,Nov 8th 1907Dear Mr Muir,There is to be an important and what will prove an influential meeting of the Trans Mississippi Commercial Congress, at M[illegible]togee, Oklahoma, on Novr (this month.) 19th to 22d. and if you can send me the substance of what you may deem best to have presented as a resolution on forestry, with the phase of preserving the Yosemite from a division of its streams or its c[illegible]one, I will endeavor to present it favorably and to the best of my ability. I am still as earnest as ever in support of those great reservations of forests & mountains, for the general welfare, and capable of making myself heard attentively by an intelligent company! With great respectYours SincerelyJohn W. Noble.Mr John MuirSan Francisco, Cal.03970
