as to Helens sicknessMartinez Oct. 13. 1905Dear Mr Lukens,I had hoped to see you ere this but have been prevented by a lot of obstacles. Helen after gaining seemingly almost perfect recovery, able to ride 30 or 40 miles a day had a dangerous relapse & was in bed 10 days. This was about 4 weeks ago, she has made a rapid recovery - is now about as you saw her last & we hope the terrible lesson will make her truly careful hereafter.
